Staying at The Swan was a pleasant surprise. The welcome from Nick felt genuine and warm right away. The room was spacious and clean, which made settling in easy. I loved that the bar had a cozy vibe, perfect for mingling with locals. The food was tasty, and the snack spread at the bar added a nice touch. I did have some trouble with the door lock. it was tricky sometimes. the area could use some sprucing up as I noticed litter on the streets, which detracted a bit from the charm. I enjoyed my night there, and it felt like a homey stop.

The welcoming atmosphere, paired with the cozy beer garden, created memorable evenings with locals. the noisy bar made it difficult to relax fully in the room.

Got what we needed for 1 night stay, room great size and clean. The girl who showed us to our room was lovely, even recommended a place nearby to eat since their kitchen was closed, which helped us out big time.

It wasn’t inexpensive, but still acceptable given the circumstances.

The family room was spacious and impeccably clean. Tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch, with fresh milk provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient, close to the ferry terminal. On-street parking was abundant and free. 🏞️

Cozy stay with a smile!

We arrived late but were welcomed warmly and taken to our nice, cozy room. The guy even brought us a breakfast bag! The place felt clean and comfy for us and our dogs. Loved the bar area too, great vibe! A bit noisy from the street at times, which was a little distracting.

We stayed in the family room, which was spacious and super clean. The shower was amazing, and we loved the fresh fruit in the room. Perfect for a family with kids!

We stayed in a family room that was totally equipped with all the essentials, like tea & coffee. The bar downstairs had a chill vibe, but what really surprised me was the staff – they were super friendly and made us feel right at home.

Thoroughly enjoyed my solo stay! The warm welcome from the staff brightened my day. Dinner was a delightful experience, especially the large portions that offered great value. I particularly appreciated Shane's attention to detail during breakfast! Remember to try the pot of tea.

It was a good match for a city trip in Stranraer with very good value for money. The double bed in the room was extremely comfortable, which made for a nice night’s sleep. Check the live music schedule if you're sensitive to noise.
